Hello, there, thanks for stumbling onto my website! My name is Dustin Morrison, and I’m a senior level artist, designer, and illustrator. For over fifteen years I worked in the souvenir industry, creating custom artwork for national tourist attractions (national parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, theme parks, resorts and more). In 2024 I moved into the college and professional sports licensing art/design space, and currently my days involve creating artwork for college sports teams, the NBA and NHL for use on hats and apparel.
My art leans heavily into a retro aesthetic with a modern slant. I’m at my strongest when developing concepts that incorporate text or copy, and I’m most enthusiastic when bringing some sort of humor into my designs. I’m comfortable with photo realistic work, but I personally find my best illustration and design work to be vector based, almost always working in limited (1-6) color pallets. I work primarily in Photoshop and Illustrator, but have been known to dabble in all the other Adobe design programs from time to time.
I grew up loving the humor and art of comic strips (the funnies), and even went so far as to create my own comic strip that that ran online from 2015-2017. More recently I’ve built a small etsy operation to satiate my personal design/art itch, selling high-concept poster designs for sports fans. You can almost always find me involved in either designing, dad-ing my two young boys, or watching some sort of sporting event.
